Elmer's Watersports has catered to SCUBA enthusiasts throughout the Chicagoland area for over four decades, offering education, equipment, local dives, and vacations. Our Evanston-based business is home to 17 experienced PADI Instructors and Divemasters. The company prides itself on delivering unparalleled SCUBA instruction and high quality gear.

Over the last seventeen years under the current management, we have met a lot of people and certified our share of divers. We've undergone some changes over these years, but the one thing that has remained and will remain constant is our appreciation for all of you.

It is our intention and promise to our students, customers and friends to continue the excellence in customer service and providing the very best in SCUBA training and equipment. This is what makes us unique in a technology-driven world. Fast isn't always good, and we pride ourselves in providing you with the knowledge you need to make informed decisions. You can be sure that we will take every step to ensure you and your dive buddy enjoy every aspect of your SCUBA adventures.

We maintain a close relationship with the community, including an affiliation with Northwestern University. At the Henry Crown Sports Pavilion & Aquatics Center, we offer students, faculty, affiliates and the general public Open Water courses year-round. We also teach classes at the Evanston YWCA, the Union League (Chicago Loop), and the University Club of Chicago.

We actively organize local charter dives in the Great Lakes as well as certification dives in Lake Michigan, Pearl Lake and Haigh Quarry. Additionally, we plan over eight dive vacations each year to explore popular SCUBA destinations all across the globe.
